Mobile Learning & ICT Lesson Plan Template
Lesson Plan Title-
The world around us
Lesson Description-
Students will explore the importance of the environment and ways to be environmentally friendly.
Age Group-
4th year students, age 15-16
Duration-
2 or 3 sessions
Objectives-
Be aware of the importance of our environment
Learn about saving resources
Be aware of different environmental issues and habits
Learn and brainstorm innovative ideas
Discover environmental organizations
Classroom Set-up (Please include a description of your class setting)-
The teacher will introduce and explain the new vocabulary
The teacher will divide the class in groups of 4, and explain what the project is going to be about
The teacher will show a presentation on Animoto to show them the app they will be using for this project, and for them to see what their result should be like
Students will choose the topic to work on, and will start working within their groups

Readings about environmental organizations
Computers with internet access
Their own phones
Apps/Web Tools/ Technology-

Environmental vocabulary
Different examples of saving energy and recycling
Detailed Lesson
Before the Task
Students should learn new vocabulary and understand it.
In order to make sure that the students have understood the vocabulary the teacher will ask them questions such as.
-do you recycle?
-how do you recycle?
-How can we save energy?
-could we save energy at school? At home?
What would you do to improve our environment?
During the Task-
The teacher will show them the final aim of the project, we will watch the presentation created by the teacher then the students will split up into groups and create their own presentations.
Teacher walks around helping, solving problems
After the Task
They should evaluate their own presentation and their peers
Presentation-we will transfer their presentations to the computer and show them to the class using the overhead projector
